SOLD - L456 Ruby Red ’67 Beetle Sunroof

SOLD - L456 Ruby Red ’67 Beetle Sunroof

Just listed, we have a respectable survivor and stock L456 ruby red ’67 beetle sunroof for sale. That's right, a sunroof!

This is an honest '67 that is 100% stock with the correct H0 case engine, etc. It does need some work here and there, but also is a great candidate for a full restoration.

The production numbers on the L456 ruby red ’67 beetle sunroof were a bit lower. Priced fairly and OBO. Who's going to make an offer?

Status: No longer available
Mileage: 52,081
Location: Nashville, TN
Price: $12,500, OBO

From our seller.

"I have a 1967 Beetle with sunroof. L456 Ruby red with black interior. 52,081 miles on odometer.
I purchased from the estate of the original owner who bought it new in Nashville, TN, May, 1967. I have the original bill of sale from the dealership. It’s a mid year '67, with numbers matching on both locations and has the H code engine.
It sat in a carport and was last registered in 1989. I first saw the car in 1996 and have followed it since.  In 2012 it was sent to a restoration shop and they replaced the floor pans, brakes, shocks, tires, front end bushings and ball joints. The seats were recovered and the engine rebuilt. The owner died in 2013, and the car has been in a garage since and never driven.
It has all the appropriate one year only parts on it and clean TN title. The sunroof opens and closes, pop out windows as well.  It does have some rust in the corners of the fenders. I purchased the car because of the history of a one owner Beetle and knowing the specifics of what a 1967 offers and with plans to restore it, but I really don’t need another project and would like to see someone that appreciates this very special year."
